Terms and Conditions

These terms help ensure that we both understand what to expect from our sessions together.

By booking an appointment with Caroline Crosby, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Welcome

Thank you for choosing to work with me.

This agreement explains how we will work together and sets out the practical arrangements for therapy. Please take a few moments to read it before your first appointment. If you have any questions, I will be happy to discuss them with you.

About me

My name is Caroline.

I offer clinical hypnotherapy and may also draw upon NLP, TFT and coaching approaches where appropriate and with your agreement. I work psychotherapeutically to assess and assist.

I am fully insured and committed to working professionally, ethically and respectfully.

Initial consultation

Before beginning therapy, I offer a free 15-minute telephone / video consultation. This provides an opportunity for us to discuss your enquiry, decide whether we are the right fit for each other and answer any initial questions.

Sessions

Sessions are available:

  • Face-to-face

  • Online

Appointments normally last approximately 60 minutes, unless we agree otherwise.

At our first session we will discuss your goals and complete a separate Working Together Plan, which records what we agree to focus on during therapy.

Fees and payment

The fee for a standard therapy session is:

£80 per hour

Payment is currently accepted by bank transfer.

Payment details will be provided before your appointment. Full payment in advance is required to secure your appointment.

If my fees change in the future, I will provide reasonable notice before the new fee applies.

Cancellation and missed appointments

If you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment, I ask that you provide at least 48 hours' notice wherever possible.

Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice, or appointments not attended without prior notice, may be charged at the full session fee unless exceptional circumstances apply.

Confidentiality

Everything you share during therapy will be treated confidentially.

There are a small number of circumstances where confidentiality may need to be broken, including where:

  • there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or another person;

  • there are safeguarding concerns involving a child or vulnerable adult;

  • disclosure is required by law or by a court.

Wherever possible, I will discuss this with you before sharing information.

Records and privacy

To provide therapy safely and professionally, I keep confidential client records.

Information about how your personal information is collected, stored and protected is explained in my Client Privacy Notice, which is provided separately.

Your responsibilities

To help you gain the greatest benefit from therapy, I ask that you:

  • attend sessions as agreed wherever possible;

  • arrive on time;

  • let me know about any significant changes to your health or medication;

  • provide accurate information to the best of your knowledge;

  • let me know if something isn't working so that we can discuss it together.

My responsibilities

I will:

  • treat you with dignity, respect and compassion;

  • provide a safe, supportive and professional environment;

  • explain the approaches we use and answer your questions;

  • work collaboratively with you towards your agreed goals;

  • maintain appropriate professional boundaries;

  • keep your information confidential within the limits described above.

Accessibility

I aim to make therapy as accessible as possible.

If you are neurodivergent, have a disability or have any communication or accessibility needs, please let me know. Wherever reasonably possible, I will make appropriate adjustments to support you.

Ending therapy

You are free to end therapy at any time.

Equally, if I believe I am not the most appropriate therapist for your needs, I will discuss this with you and, where possible, suggest alternative sources of support.

Questions or concerns

If you have any questions about this agreement or are unhappy with any aspect of the service you receive, please let me know. I welcome feedback and will always aim to resolve concerns fairly and respectfully.

A copy of my Complaints Policy is available on request and on my website.
